Colin Britgerton is tired of being thought to be an ampty- headed charmer, tired of the ton`s preoccupation with the notoriouse gossip columnist Lady Whistledown. But when Colin returns to London from a trip abroud he discovers nothing in his life is quite the same- especially Penelope Featherinston! Only then he descovers thet Penelope has secrets of her own, and this elusive bachelor must decide... is she his biggest threat- or his promise of happy ending?

It turn, Maisie embarks on a portrait of her own: she tells the story of her sisters and thair lovers, of her village friend Daniel Nunn. Maisie describes evasions, betrayals, a lost England and a last summer- The Landscape of Love grips from the first page. Beguiling complex, huntingly sad and often wonderfully funny, it is a dazzling tour de force.
